Original Uk Decca 1967 SXL 6316 Britten: Les Illuminations and Variations on a Theme by Frank Bridge . Deep grooved Wide Band ED1 labels, amongst the very last to have original Recording by at ten o' clock. Britten conducting his own works with the ECO. The composer is joined by the tenor Peter Pears. I love the orchestral textures to the first work here. Clout & Baker sleeve with the Lp inside the original ffss decca inner, and has the original insert & very low 1G2G stampers, signify that this was mastered by the great Ted Burkett, considered by several informed sources to be the best of the bunch of Decca's elite engineers. There are no marks of any nature to this lp.
