THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION FOR an Original FIRSTP Pressing of the 1968 WHITE ALBUM. It is a Hard to Find early release with an Embossed THE BEATLES instead of printed as they are on later pressings, and also a SERIAL Number as shown on the front cover. You can see it in the second photo. This serial number on the plain white sleeve in the front was only found on early releases and designed by pop artist Richard Hamilton. All the original Photographs of John, Paul, George and Ringo are included as is the original Poster (see photos) with the words to the songs on the back.

The Beatles WHITE ALBUM is the ninth official album by The Beatles, a double album released in 1968 and is commonly known as The White Album as it has no text other than the band's name. This album was the first The Beatles undertook following the death of their manager Brian Epstein. Originally planned to be A Doll's House, the title was changed when the British progressive band Family released an album earlier that year bearing a similar title.

Many interpret this album as actually having no title, the words “The BEATLES” only being intended to indicate the group, as all Beatles albums contain this identification.

According to the Recording Industry Association of America, The Beatles is The Beatles' best-selling album at 19-times platinum and the tenth-best-selling album of all time in the United States.

I treat my LPs very carefully. There are no scratches, the LPs here play perfectly. I am the original owner and bought this album in 1968 as soon as it came out. I am a huge Beatles fan and will be selling a number of albums, all original. I do not sell junk. Aside from some minor age the GATEFOLD is in beautiful condition. Very hard to find like this. I would say MINT- with the LP in MINT+ condition.

The vinyl is in beautiful condition even after some 40 years...Easily MINT. Highly glossy and plays perfectly

I went to the Post Office and found out International shipping will run about $15 for Standard Airmail which takes about 2-3 weeks sometimes sooner. Priority Mail would be $27 and usually 6-10 days.

 Received a few questions about the album. I have added a photo to show the only slight tear in any edge on the white album cover. It is very minor but I want to be upfront about every mark. All else is exactly as I have described. You would be hard pressed to find another album in this condition at 40+ years old. A wonderful collection piece for collector or fan alike.  I checked. The White Album was not released in mono in the US. This is a US version so it is Stereo

 FWIW, the records are clean, no scratches no pops. There are no marks on the labels themselves on the vinyl. All is why I call them mint. They were handled exceptionally well. If the records were unplayed I would have stated that. So if you believe MINT+ means unplayed, then these would be MINT- as they have been played.

To answer another email, the poster is in VG condition. It is original as is everything in this set. The small brownish marks that are seen in the cross center of the folds in back of the poster are from tape marks from years ago. There are no tears and the marks are not noticeable from the front as you can see in the photos. Please look at the photos as these are the actual items. I am showing all I can as best I can.

Wow! This must be an interesting record with all the emails asking questions. Some asked how I bought it. That one I can tell you because it was a special day for me. Before this White Album was actually in the stores, my Dad had a very good friend who owned a record store in NY. He called him and asked would he please put aside one of the new Beatles albums for me when the shipment came in. He agreed and when we got to his store they were all gone except for the one copy he put aside for me. He said they sold quickly. I remember how happy I was to be among the very few that owned a copy when it was released and people saying, how did you get it? So that is the story and what I remember from 40 years ago.Hope this helps someone.

 OK. I looked at each of the photos. I do not remember ever having to review an item I auctioned so much. Whew! All the photos have a tiny circle in the lower left corner with the words inside it that read Made in USA. You can see in on the lower left in the photo of John Lennon I added to this auction.
The Lennon photo is the only one with any marks on the front. You can see it in the photo I added for yourself. There is a mark on the right side and a small tear that on the lower bottom but it was repaired and is hardly noticeable. All the others look good.
There are some minor markings on the back which I think was from hanging them up at one time. The pictures are a somewhat glossy finish but after 40 years do you can see the photos are aged a bit and have a slight brown at the edges but the overall color is not faded like many are because I kept them inside the album. But please take a look. I am trying to be accurate in pointing out everything.
