Overall in VG condition -- please see photos -- play graded some popping and scratches as might be expected -- SIDE 2 is VG+ and SIDE 1 has some lateral scratches, not that deep but enough to notice in playback.
Although the rare and sought after FEDERAL DUCK album was buried or ignored upon its release in 1968, it has since received high recognition by serious '60s rock collectors who consider the album a "lost treasure."
Hard to find in any condition, here is a NEVER PLAYED '68 pressing on the obscure "Musicore" label, the same label that released the equally impressive and similar "Paper Garden" LP, (and not to forget the "Rebecca And The Sunnybook Farmers" LP.)
Federal Duck tracks notably contain strong atmospherics in the dreamy hippie psych-rock bag at it's very best. Decidedly worth it's weight just for the "killer" track "Tomorrow Waits For Today."
Along both sides you will find some real "psych nuggets" in the brilliant forgotten psychedelic rock vein. Several of the highly infectious tunes are often considered "masterpieces." Even though like most albums in the '60's, there are a couple "fillers", the overall feeling is very positive because the majority of original tracks on this LP are indeed very impressive. The highlights include "Easy Virtue Blues", "Tomorrow Waits for Today" "While You're Away", "Peace in My Mind" and "Friday Morning" -- those being the obvious fantastic tracks. The jazz-rock oriented "Bird" is the longest song of the album and it's a nice one as well. On the whole the album falls into similar styles of the 1st "SPIRIT" Lp meeting "The Freebourne" (who issued the $$$ valued "Peak Impressions" Lp) - both in the same year as the Federal Duck album. .
