Here as it's rare and WANTED but this, a RARE ADVANCED RELEASE PROMOTIONAL COPY that plays FANTASTIC!
Original 1968 first pressing in thick gatefold and on the highly collectible SIRE Records label.... (London)
- Best tracks include - "Somewhere To Go", "Jamie's Song", "You've Got to Hold On", "Let's Loot the Supermarket", "Slum Lord", "Normality Jam", "Guaranteed to Bleed" and "Last Man". It is altogher a quite charming inviting anarchic creation, created by a crew of loud raucous hippies. Very interesting indeed.
- Founded by legendary counter-culture figure Mick Farren and Russel Hunter and inspired by American underground groups such as Zappa's Mothers & The Fugs, with the political stance of the MC5, the Deviants were first of the anarchic groups to emerge from the Ladbroke Grove area of London. Two years before Hawkwind burst on to the underground scene, The Deviants were preaching revolution and creating their own form of musical anarchy. "Disposable" was the band's second album and featured the legendary 'Let's Loot the Supermarket'. A musical signpost that would point the direction The Deviants' offspring, The Pink Fairies.
- Formed in 1967 as The Social Deviants in the Underground Movement in London around the personality of singer/poet Mick Farren. The successive changes in the Line-up, would lead to the shortening of the Name, (The Deviants) and their befriending of a son of a millionaire, which came very in handy to make it possible for the group to record and release their first album, free of charge. Far from other Psychedelic acts however, The Deviants, were not a common band, they were a musical collective, determined in destroying the bourgeoisie culture, with their grungy punk stance (no doubt, they were extremely influential in the punk movement of the next decade)
- Disposable was released on the independent STABLE Records label, the same label that released the legendary SAM GOPAL album.

CONDITION: The Cover: the THICK gatefold is M- solid and looks GREAT with small promo sticker at top right (see photo) ... no split seams, no writing, no delete marks, no fade ... collection worthy!
The Vinyl: both sides are glossy, VG ++ couple of no affect scuffs like that of fingernail, nothiong deep, plays M- , outstanding.... and guaranteed : excellent audio zones, BOTH Sire labels are clean
