                                                  ***  ATTENTION! **

Please carefully read our entire listing to answer any questions you may have,  including discount shipping rates at end of listing; then contact us directly with any other information you may need.

WITH MUCH APPRECIATION TO ALL OUR CUSTOMERS:  If you have a question on orders received, please contact us.  We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied.   Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music!  We have served thousands of satisfied customers  - far more than our feedback records indicate - and our aim is to continue to do so.

We have a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records.   Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of  2/3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers.

We mail all paid orders out once a week on Fridays/Saturdays.  Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule to Monday.   We strive to keep our shipping and handling costs as close to actual charges as reasonable.  We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order.  Please be aware we have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.

TO OUR REPEAT CUSTOMERS:  We are happy to hold orders to save on shipping.  Please pay your current invoice within five days of auctions ending and, if you request, we will hold your order and reflect a shipping discount for each additional order shipped together in the same parcel.

As always, thank you for your support!

TOP COPY! ***STILL IN FACTORY SHRINK WRAPPER...

LOOKS UNPLAYED...43 years old!

RARE AND SOUGHT... ORIGINAL 1968 FIRST PRESSING ~ CLEAN MINTY VINYL..on the highly collected Metromedia label who brought to you "Christopher" among others.

Carolyn Hester an American folk singer and songwriter who hung out with Bob Dylan in New Yorks Grenwhich Village scene and was a figure in the early '60s folk music revival. By the late 1960s, unable to succeed as a folk-rock artist, she explored psychedelic music as part of the Carolyn Hester Coalition.

The album is a fine 1968 West Coast-style hippie fuzz folk rock/pop affair with Hester singing in a decidedly non-folky acid psych/garage/hardrock style. Solid all the way through, this album should appeal to any fan of Neighb'rhood Child'n, Birmingham Sunday and similar semi-light trips. The opening "Magic Man" is well known due to its inclusion on the Hippie Goddesses compilation.

Once you get charmed by Hester's little girl lost voice, 1968's "The Carolyn Hester Coalition" is surprisingly enjoyable.  With excellent backing from The Coalition (bassist/keyboard player Dave Blume, drummer Skeeter Camera and lead guitarist Steve Wolfe), material such as "Magic Man", the fuzz guitar propelled "East Virginia" and "Half the World" offered up some excellent psych/rock numbers.  Sure, Hester's folkie roots were occasionally on display ("Tomorrow When I Wake Up"), and on tracks like "Big City Street" she bore a resemblance to Lulu.  Those were the exceptions rather than the rule.   Besides, Hester deserved an extra star for the album cover's revealing blouse.
