Description
On offer here is a very early copy of THE BEATLES double LP referred to as THE WHITE ALBUM on the APPLE label No. PMC 7068 ‘Mono’ with first pressing matrix Nos. XEX 709-1 710-1 711-1, 712-1.
Records have the dark shaded green on one side and display “sold in UK” label text.
Records are housed in a top loading embossed gatefold cover No. 0028881 and come with two original black inner sleeves, four photo’s and poster with lyrics on reverse.
Both records do have some noticeable marks, but fortunately they both play EXCELLENT and there are no extraneous sounds even in the quieter moments.
Gatefold cover with flip-overs on the inside verticals is fully intact, no rips, tears, or writing, but does show some scuff marks and some bumping to corners, spine is clear and readable, would rate as VG+
Both original black inner sleeves have the odd small tears, nothing too serious.
Poster does have some splits to seams, but there are no pin holes, tape etc or discolouration.
All four photos are in EXCELLENT condition.
Not mint condition I know, but the obvious attraction is the extremely low numbered sleeve of 0028881
