Please keep in mind, we would prefer to continue to provide you the opportunity to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our well over +22,000 positive feedback. We use an ultrasonic KLAudio machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! Original 1968 pre-released ...DOORS 'Waiting For The Sun' set Morrison's "Lizard King" poetic, bizarre lyrical imagery against Krieger's bluesy guitar, spiraling theatric keyboards of Ray Manzarek and jazz based complex rhythms of John Densmore ...
THE DOORS
Their chart success alienated the DOORS from their original audience, who no longer considered them "underground" enough, while their concert audiences increasingly consisted of teenage girls, drawn by Morrison's sexy performing style. "Hello, I Love You" pushed them firmly into the rock mainstream, still that was alright and engaging...
The peculiar raw sound, surrealistic elements and Morrison's fine poetry really make this a genuine Doors classic !
"Waiting From The Sun" begins with two catchy classic Doors love songs, followed by the captivating "Not to Touch The Earth", which has constantly growing aggressive chant spinning up to it's atavistic climax, containing the famous "Lizard King" phrase with a loud crash for audio chills
"Summer's Almost Gone" is timelessly surreal, followed by the melancholy poetic themed, "Wintertime Love" an effective groove.
"Unknown Soldier" was then a Vietnam protest song, combining ethereal and conventional ranting psycho Morison elements.
There was a famous film made for this tune, where Morrison gets shot in impressionistic execution sequence.
Artistic clever elements in "Waiting For The Sun" combines their challenging "out there" themes, making their music accessible for the audiences as well as the underground "head-squad"!
The B-side of the vinyl starts with "Spanish Caravan", revealing magic fingers Latin-inflected spiraled guitar.
There are some quotations of Albenitz guitar suites, and the traditional sound gets also treated with psychedelic textures.
"My Wild Love" is archaic Indian chant painting visions of sprits acid-dancing around the nocturnal fireside in the desert.
The Earthlove song "Yes, The River Knows" features a strong melody, full of effective moods.
“Five to One” finds THE DOORS at their most forceful with warning to followers, that they take it easy, as Jim shouts “No one here gets out alive!” - in that Jimbo is ready and willing to trade in his hours for a handful of dimes.
We didn’t know what he was talking about at the time but he was walking down a one-way street toward Dylan’s desolation row and that the universe couldn't stop him.
The overindulgence's that Jim couldn’t resist were just beginning to take the toll in early 1968... the rest is well known history
