Description

At the Turntable Worcester we are adding 50 lps a day to stock (including a healthy Elvis section), but want to offer the slightly unusual to yourselves as with this.
Here it is, the highest valued 12" Elvis lp in the 2016 rare record guide at £400 (I haven't seen a later guide). 1969 Orange labels UK RCA RD 7723 Mono Elvis Presley Flaming Star and Summer Kisses. The rarity comes from the fact that major record labels had all but phased out mono pressings at this far end of the decade, so a fairly small print run only ever existed. Hindsight also allows us to see that all those fake stereo versions of the older material sound awful by comparison. As you can see, no damage to the sleeve, and just a couple of non feelable and non sounding scuffs to the playing surfaces, plus a tiny spot of either stubborn dirt or something pressed in to the vinyl, thuds but no skips.
