RARE STEREO 1969 ORIGINAL PARALLAX RECORDS P-4001
The Sacred Mushroom were one of Cincinnati's top bands in the late 1960s. The band was started by brothers Larry (lead guitar) and Danny (vocals) Goshorn. For most the band's existence they were a five member band.
The band recorded a debut 45 for the Nashville based Minaret label which got some local airplay on "Break Away Girl". In 1969 the band recorded an LP for the NYC label Parallax records, the 'underground' subsidiary of Audio Fidelity. The LP was recorded at Jewel, with former Toy Tiger label operator Don Litwin credited as producer. The photographer for the back cover shot of the band house was Stu Levy, who was the leader of Surdy-Greebus (and an acclaimed photographer). The LP sold well locally, but the band was really known for their live shows. They played local clubs and many gigs on the undercard to national acts. They also played around the midwest. By late 1969 after the LP was released, the group disbanded. Larry Goshorn partnered with his brother Tim in a band called Mushroom Jones, before joining Pure Prairie League

ALBUM AND COVER IN GOOD USED CONDITION
LP cover is only fair, it has seam splits top and bottom, foxing on back cover and promo copy not for sale stamped on back cover.
Record surfaces shows some signs of wear and has slight scuffs and very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experiences.
The label has no ring wear or discoloration. The center hole has not been misshapen by repeated play.
