Here's a rare find!! This is the legendary Dave Brubeck & His Trio playing with the University of Minnesota Brass Orchestra & Chorus 2 LP Set. Very rare private pressing playing Brubeck's "The Light in the Wilderness" recorded live on Centruy Custum Records records label out of Minnesota, very low press run and even less still survive today, almost impossible to find!! This is taken from the liner notes on inside of cover...."This stereo recording was prepared on Scotch 201 Dynarange tape in the Fargo, N. Dakota Audiotrium April, 26 1969 with guest soloist and TRIO at the NOrth Central MENC Convention."
We just got this in from a local college professor in this area, needless to say this record is almost impossible to find outside the Minnesota area and even here, it's very tough to find, first time I've actually seen it. Vinyl on 1st record has some light to moderate scratches on side 1, side 2 some lighter marks, perhaps just a slight warp to first record. Second record: looks much better with just a few light marks. Cover is in nice shape with just some light yellowing, back cover has some old photos from the concert with Brubeck playing piano. Overall, in pretty good shape for being so old and in storage for years and years. This LP has never been offered for sale on Ebay before, the last known University & Brubeck LP sold for $200+ Don't miss your chance at this one!!
