1970 Jean Ward and Michael Raven Lass From The Low Country SIGNED Only 99 Pressed, on the tiny private Roman Head label from Wolverhampton. Jean has a superb voice and Mike was a virtuoso and impassioned guitarist, probably the better known of the two as he is also on another couple of super rare folk albums similar to this with Joan Mills. Signed to rear by Mike, dedicated to Florence. There is mainly a mix of traditional British folk tunes and others written by Mike. On a couple he just plays unaccompanied guitar also. The sleeve makes no note of this but he appears to switch to Banjo in the opening track. A very pleasing "live in the studio" session, in that typical style of a small budget private pressing, presumably meant to be sold at gigs. Discogs note this as not ever selling on their site for less than £150. You are lucky if you hit the buy it now because this is in superb condition, barely played, and has the signature. This has been cleaned on a wash and vac machine, using art du son fluid, has a new antistatic inner added and all resides, separated to prevent splits, in a heavy gauge new poly outer awaiting our careful packing in custom made hard card boxes.
