The followup to Douglass High School BLACK OUT '70 is BLACK EXPERIENCE from 1971.
CENTURY RECORDS USR 3258. And probably the better album.
BLACK OUT may have the better cover image, but BLACK EXPERIENCE, has the better roster of Funk, Soul.
And then there is the Immortal CARL WOODS...a JIMI HENDRIX clone firing off "machine gun" style guitar with acid drenched vocals.
The highlight for most will be the outstanding young soulgroups as The Soul-etts, Romestics, The Anatics, and Malistics.
A two record set. The first record showcases choir and gospel.
The second record is where the action is!
Completely dedicated to Douglass High School talent show.
So check the pics on the gatfold for all the bands.
Visually both records look NM ( no scratches, Shiny, flat etc.)
A little light surface on some of first LP... still NM.
The second (and most Important) LP is a Solid NM, sounding clear and clean, also no spindle marks that I can see.
The condition of the cover is VG++. light ring wear on cover.
It has no spine breaks, or cracks. and no split seams anywhere.
