PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. Please keep in mind, we would prefer to continue to provide you the opportunity to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our well over 18,000 positive feedback. We use an ultrasonic KLAudio machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. 1970 first pressing of the the very first & best Shuggie Otis album. The orange U.K. first press is incredibly hard to find especially MINT CLEAN like this - the *best* copy we ever located!
Hot on the heels of his 'Super Session' with Al Kooper, Shuggie Otis released 'Here Comes Shuggie' his first of criminally only three solo albums and is packed full of classy blues soul and psychedelia...Don't let anyone tell you this is a soul record. This is foremost a psychedelic workout, crafted by a 16-year-old gigging musician, under the tutelage of his legendary father. It's hard to believe how young he was when Shuggie Otis recorded this highly accomplished psychedelic soul album, he was really a prodigy....And don't skip the first track. You need not get fooled; the first couple minutes of "Oxford Gray" are plodding heavy-hippie jams, but then Johnny Otis starts bending the guitar strings - first ominous sweeps, then violin plucks, finally foxcall backing spice - cutting them all with bluesy slide guitar (!). Great track! Throughout you will find "Here Comes Shuggie" to be classic album of bluesy guitar in a slightly tighter setting than he'd been getting on some of Johnny's own LPs! Shuggie here is still very much under the guidance of his dad -- working in a mode that really emphasizes the fuzzier side of his guitar, in a style that was clearly an attempt to hook Shuggie up with the Hendrix audience. Not that that's a problem, though -- as the record also features some stoned playing too, as well as organ work by Leon Haywood...

CONDITION: The cover: Rated: A BEAUTY! rated: M- in factory cellophane. Didn't rate as mint for only the reason there is a weird/unique sticker on cover that seems to be (?) by the manufacturer (Epic) - thing is never seen or heard of this sticker before. Still, the cover contains total original colors, no wear, very stiff and all over very solid with 4-sharp corners. Original store sticker outside the cellophane. There are no seam splits, no bends, no writing, no delete marks, and all over no problems, nice collectible appearance.
The vinyl: Rated: is about VG++ few minor scuffs, overall plays with enjoyable audio and should for you. Both yellow Epic labels are free from dirt and soil
