We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback.   We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Whoa! Thee original 1970 unipack gatefold cover first pressing on the hunted down for garden of delights VERTIGO SWIRL label ....

Criminally underrated at the time, but borne into legend by the unspeakable tragedies that awaited its makers, the debut album by Patto can safely be described among the finest prog-rock fusion albums ever cut by a British band. Mike Patto's vocals certainly match that billing, a throaty, emotive sound that puts one in mind of the effect that Steve Winwood spent much of his career pursuing, while first lieutenant Ollie Halsall's reputation as one of the era's hottest guitarists is revealed as only one of the strings to his bow -- early into the opening "The Man," he unleashes a mean vibraphone solo as well. However, "Hold Me Back" quickly restates his lead guitar duty and, even so, the song itself is little more than a crude (killer) rewrite of the Rolling Stones' "Stray Cat Blues," the riffs that scythe through the brew are sparkling enough to camouflage any lyrical redundancies. "Money Bag," too, offers up a guitar showcase that is difficult to shake, dueling with a scat rhythm section that is tasteful enough to eat, but never overwhelming the mood. At its best, The first album re-establishes all the glories for which Patto was renowned at the time; at its very best, it occasionally even overpowers the group.

The vinyl: the glossy grooves visibly are near "EX" (excellent) have a few little nothing scuffs play level is excellent, enjoyable...both 'Vertigo swirl' labels are clean

CONDITION: The cover: The old unipack gatefold cover is solid all over, rated VG+(+) has a couple minor issues as a bit of shelf wear - but nothing alarming at all, remnants of a promo sticker peeled away at top right, small ding at bottom left, very light spider web-type crinkle at top right...Has a unique to the promo release song titles strip at bottom front... all said, still very rated a collection keeper = the original colors are bright,with no split seams, no writing

The vinyl: the glossy grooves visibly are M- play level is excellent, TOP COPY  enjoyable... both 'Vertigo swirl' labels are clean
