Description

This product is a repress of The Rolling Stones' vinyl LP "Stone" from 1970, released by Decca in the United Kingdom. The record is in mono, with a speed of 33 RPM and a 12" size. The vinyl matrix numbers are XARL-6271-6A and XARL-6272-12A. This reissue features the original cover and is a must-have for fans of the rock genre, particularly those interested in the 1960s rock & roll and rhythm & blues styles.
This is a collectors issue, as this is the first Rolling Stones reissue with the boxed Decca Symbol on the centre labels.
Cover - I had graded as Excellent. This is a personal grading. Outer edges are intact, with no scuffs and tears. Some slight edge bumping and creasing around the edging. Laminate is in good condition, there is some scuffing evident. Some discolouring on the white areas and the outer edges of the vinyl record can be seen on the cover front and back. On the back is some staining. Please have a look at my photographs for a better idea.
It’s a lovely looking vinyl LP. Lovely clean glossy sheen. Side one is the better side with no obvious damage. Side two does have about 5 superficial scratches that doesn’t affect playback whatsoever ever. No crackles no clicks.Apart from that this is a clean copy. Centre labels are clean and have no obvious damage. Playback is graded as Excellent, with no sound drop-outs and clear and clean vocals and instrumentals. Please be aware that I advertise my listings differently to others, as I take two photos of my albums, one under flash another in normal light. Under flash you the buyer have the chance to see the record clearly, and what this does is that it usually shows up problems that the naked eye would find it hard to see. Taking everything into account, I have personally graded the vinyl LP as an excellent.
Overall, a very nice, decent clean copy and a collectors item. Not bad at all from 1970 making it 55 years old. Whoever said you can’t get a good tune out of an old record certainly weren’t right with regards to this vinyl album.
