Description

This is for a 1973 BPI Gold award for 'Latin with love' long playing record album producer Norman Newell.Presented in recognition of the sale of more than £150,000 worth of music for pleasure.The gold record has never been out of its glazed metal frame and is in excellent order.It is free of any damage whatsoever.Latin with love is an instrumental record with among others the tracks of La Bamba,Spanish Harlem & The girl from Ipanema.The album is by Geoff Love and his Orchestra.Norman Newell was a record producer best known for his production of West End musicals.He was an A & R manager to the likes of Shirley Bassey,Petula Clark,Vera lynn and Judy Garland and won a Grammy,an Emmy and three Ivor Novello awards.As a songwriter he won a Golden Globe award.The frame measures just over 20" by 16 1/4" and the framers are Century Displays of Surrey.Good luck in your bidding.
