LARRY CAMPBELL AND HIS COUNTRY PLAYBOYS give us the sounds we feel will please you and all bluegrass fans alike. This is the second in a series of albums by this group, and their first one is evidence of your feelings. Your response was overwhelming and our gratitude runs high. This album contains some old ones, some new, and some original songs written by The Country Playboys. We feel it is their best and hope it pleases you completely. The Country Playboys include the best group of talent we have put together for one album. The national champion banjo player is Jim Street. Playing fiddle is Archie Callahan, while Dennis Severt plays mandolin, and his father Earl Severt plays gui- tar. Playing doghouse bass is Doug Campbell, Doug is Larry's son and hold the title of world's champion bass player. His performances here help to verify this honor. Larry Campbell, the leader of the group, plays guitar and sings lead on most select- ions. The entire group take various parts on vocals on different songs and arrange- ments. All possess a life-long dedication and love for bluegrass music. They grew up playing and loving it, and hold on to the original stylings and meanings as we know them.
