We have a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 2/3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers.
We mail all paid orders out once a week on Fridays/Saturdays. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule to Monday. We strive to keep our shipping and handling costs as close to actual charges as reasonable. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. Please be aware we have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.

Bolan's Zip Gun was recorded reportedly at the peak of his drug use...nevertheless it's like a peek through the studio window, sitting in on our star-hero's cocaine and alcohol-fuelled attempts to get ideas down in rapid succession, chasing the muse and indeed his own relevance while he still was on the thrown as glam-slam king. The phenomenally popular and influential T.Rex spearheaded the glam-rock movement, a genre owing everything to its quintessential superstar, Marc Bolan. Rivaled only by Bowie, whose own glam period followed in their flamboyant footsteps, Bolan and T.Rex created an incredible vibe and sound whose legacy lives. Driven by primal grooves, effortless hooks, trippy vocals, and deliciously fat guitar riffs, the music was both infused with hippie spirituality and raw sexuality-a rich, ripe, sonic delight both primitive and evolved. While their music defined an era, their irresistible grooves are timeless, and Bolan's later, more experimental tracks on "Bolan's Zip Gun", marrying poprock genius with creative expansion and proto-punk power, underscore his groundbreaking artistry.
Several of the songs had a very futuristic tone, especially "Space Boss", "Think Zinc" and "Golden Belt", Bolan being a great fan of science fiction. The musicians on this album also featured a twin-drum sound on some tracks, notably "Solid Baby". Experimentation in sound and effects were very much the order of the day on this album. Bolan's Zip Gun returns to the understated romp Marc had always excelled at -- the delightful knockabout "Precious Star," the unrepentant boogie of "Till Dawn" and the pounding title track all echo with the effortless lightheartedness which was Bolan at his most glowing, while "Token of My Love" is equally incandescent, a playful blues which swiftly became a major in-concert favorite. When the album was released in 1975, Bolan's Zip Gun was under the microscope, an album that critics either loved or hated; now 35 years on, it hits as hard as any of T-Rex's earlier works.
