1976 Octopus German Progressive Psych (Boat of Thoughts


 

 

 
Octopus – “Boat of Thoughts” (Sky 009). “Boat of Thoughts” is the first LP by this excellent German Krautrock band. It features an early melodic symphonic progressive sound where guitar dominates but there is also plenty of mellotron and synth. Lead singer is Jennifer Hensel with Pit Hensel (gtrs), Werner Littau (keyboards), Frank Euele (drms), and Claus D Knieemeyer (bs). Cuts include: “The First Flight of the Owl”, “Kill Your Murderer”, “If You Ask Me”, “The Delayable Rise of Glib”, “We’re Losing Touch”, and “The Boat of Thoughts”. Record is in M- condition. Cover is in VG+ condition. Postage & insurance will be paid by purchaser.
