Rare opportunity to own Stiff Records ,first, limited edition "BOX SET" this is the BLACK box set released in 1978 on 7" vinyl. This set includes all of Stiff's original artist, releases beginning with Nick Lowe & ending with The Damned. Up for auction is #2213 of 5000. The original box does have age wear & tear with a split corner on bottom right and left, fraying on some edges, ink missing on corners and various other "age & handling" defects.The original insert which folded out into a poster is missing and therefore "IS NOT" included.  The Stiff Logo is still crisp but  the rest of the outer,box does look 3+ decades old. There are 10, 7" vinyl 45's inside the box, all of the actual records are near mint, with very little needle wear, minimal surface marks and ALL played without skipping ,jumping or any other MAJOR vinyl issues. The sleeves are all original issue and most are in very good condition. The Damned picture sleeve, does have spotting ,discoloration and handling damage ,there are no rips,tears or splits on this sleeve but you can see where it has been handled by someone's "sticky,little,fingers" (see photo's) and than left to oil stain or mold over the years. This set is almost 40 years old anything printed on white paper is discolored or slightly,yellowed simply,due to oxygen exposure. Number card is printed with the # 2213 which has been filled in with blue ink pen , I received it this way, via mail order ,from Stiff Records. The records sound like they are brand new, with all the background noises that vinyl, aficionados have come to appreciate & love.
