My original 1979 "Phantasm" movie soundtrack -- as purchased on Hollywood Boulevard (after seeing the movie in a San Fernando Valley theater). Just re-listened to this (both sides) to check out the quality and I'd say it is still in very good (nice) listening shape. Album jacket has some obvious age wear -- and "issues" (I wrote a friend's telephone number in the lower left corner on the back and also stuck a "Phantasm 2" sticker on the front cover in 1988 after getting a free sticker for "being one of the first 100 into the theater" to see the sequel). The original paper (interior) jacket has some creases and marginal yellowing but is intact (see pictured). Record itself does look really nice -- and plays well -- however, if it's "total perfection" you're seeking, then don't bid on this auction. This is a personal record from my old Varese LP collection. It is what I have described.
