Description
Let's start with the basic on this issue as I understand it. I believe this issue to be the first pressing/issue out of Capitol's Jacksonville, pressing plant. I base this on the fact that it has a G-1 and a -0- on etched in the dead wax on both sides. It also has mastered by capitol stamped in the dead wax. I also believe that this is the first pressing for the jacket as it has the following: 1. embossed front photo, but not back 2. custom inner paper sleeve with 16 different photos of the Beatles on each side
3. No mention of George Martin as the producer in the lower left corner on the back,
4. Incorrect info. regarding "There's A Place" being the first US issue in stereo 5. Incorrect info. regarding "Helter Skelter" as being John saying "I've got blisters on my fingers." So, unless someone can correct me, I believe I'm correct that this is the first pressing of both jacket and vinyl out of Jacksonville, pressing plant.
