1980 Smoky Mountain Travelers Bluegrass Autographed LP (Live)
Smoky Mountain Travelers – “Live’ (G.B.R. 482). Good 1980 LP by this group out of Gatlinburg, TN composed of Jack Grooms (Guitar); Carl Stump (Mandolin)’ Rob Curtis (bass); Barry McCarter (banjo); and Mike Grove (fiddle.) The Travelers were a Gatlinburg tradition and landmark and the LP was recorded on October 18, 1980 at the Riverside Motor Lodge there. It is comprised of songs and jokes/stories from the live show as well as 4 studio cuts. Cuts include: “I’ll Stay Around”; “Roll in My Sweet Baby’s Arms”; “Smoky Mt Hop”; “(The Pickpocket)” “Greenback Dollar”; “(Poetry)” “Grey Eagle’; “(The Refrigerator)”; “Schuckin’ the Corn”; and “Leavin’s Heavy On My Mind”; “Walk Softly On This Heart of Mine”; “Fair and Tender Ladies”; and “Foggy Mt Breakdown” (The last 4 are recorded in studio. Record and cover (autographed by the 5 members) are in M- condition. Postage will be paid by purchaser.
