Philip Cuthbert used to be the bank manager at the Timperley branch of the Natwest Bank. This was where frank sidebottom (Chris Sievey) had his business account. After he retired, Mr. Cuthbert used to have a stall at the antiques & collectors fairs in Stretford Sports Centre. It was at one of these fairs many years ago that I obtained the record from him. At the time I bought the record from Mr. Cuthbert, he told me that at one of his meetings with Chris Sievey, Chris had brought along some records to show him what he had done with the money he had borrowed from the bank. It was at this meeting that he signed the record sleeve. Anyway, that’s the story according to Mr. Cuthbert!
