1987 Great Sounds Radio Show 4 Hr/4 LP (Vaughn Monroe, Sinatra, etc).
“The Great Sounds (Unistar February 13, 1987).” This is a 4-hour and 4 LP radio program hosted by Ray Otis featuring music of the 30s, 40s , 50s and newer with emphasis on music from the great American songbook. Each program features songs and interviews with a special guest, a segment on Frank Sinatra, and some programs highlight a specific year. In addition guest artists, etc. tell behind the scenes stories of the time. This week sees Vaughn Monroe as a featured artist with 12 Monroe cuts and interviews from Ziggy Talent, Lynn Roberts. Remo Palmer, Richard Hayman, Jay McShann, and Larry O’Brien. In total, each program usually features 40-50 cuts by artists and also included this week are: The Andrews Sisters, Stan Freberg, Frank Sinatra, Judy Garland, Patti Page, Count Basie, Duke Ellingotn & more. Includes cue sheets (includes written notes, underlines, etc from stations). Records are in strong VG to VG+ condition and cover is in strong VG+ condition. Postage will be paid by purchaser.
