For many years I did promotion for music labels, large and small, and have accumulated product, not only from labels I represented but labels I competed with as well.  Over those many years I had always hoped that one of the artists I had worked for would win a Grammy and thank me personally on national television for what an important part I had played in their success and allow me to share in the spotlight.  That never happened, sure many of the artists I was affiliated with won Grammy’s but none felt that I, in any way, was responsible for their success and I totally agree.  However just recently a long time friend and competitor from the music industry sent me a gift in appreciation of our friendship and although I am deeply appreciative and   thankful for his gesture I felt at this point in my life, downsizing, it would be best to pass it on.  I discussed this with him and he gave me his blessing.  It’s not a Grammy, although it carries the same prestige, it’s a never engraved, un-presented, gold tone, official Billboard Music Award.  Now you don’t have to go through life longing for the recognition you, or a loved one, deserves for your musical accomplishments…. give yourself or that loved one this beautiful authentic award.  Place your bid now and then contact your local Trophy store and have it say what you feel in your heart.  I had this item listed earlier but ended the auction as I found some of my description to be inaccurate.  This award is not a replica or a knock off, it is the exact award that Billboard presented to the winners through out the 1990’s, with a foot print of 2 ½” square, rubber padded, and a heght of 13”. This puppy weights around six pounds, weighted I’m sure to give the illusion of metal and will look great on your mantel, or the hood of your Ford Focus.  Trust me, no one is doing knock off’s of this award, they are all too busy doing Beatles, Vee Jay and Swan records sold elsewhere on this site.  In my original listing I stated it was a gold tone metal, I now have confirmation that the award is all resin, it utilizes the same process as the later gold and platinum record awards for its plated finish.  You would clean this with Windex not compound.  I would also note that if you wanted to inscribe this award it would be done with a transfer not engraving.  If you have questions about this item please make use of the “Ask The Seller A Question” option.  We welcome your comments and suggestions on how we might improve the content of our listings.  We also would appreciate corrections, if it appears our facts are wrong or misleading.  If you have questions about the seller, please review our feedback.  Postage in the Continental United States will be exactly what the USPS requires.  We charge an additional $ 5.00 to cover the cost of a new mailer, pads and USPS Delivery Confirmation.
