This is the first release by EMI-Electrola GMBH (the German EMI division) of part of a series (ca 1970) that soon became world-famous by focusing on releases of rarely performed or more-or-less known Early Music Works. Some important contributors to this series at the beginning were the late Thomas Binkley and his Studio der Frühen Musik, Hans-Martin Linde and his Linde-Consort, Michel Piguet and the Ricercare-Ensemble für alte Musik., Zurich and Jordi Savall and his Hespèrion XX Ensemble at their debut.
