Description
AC/DC
Can I Sit Next To You, Girl / Rockin' In The Parlour
Original 1974 Australian 1st Issue 45 rpm 7" Vinyl Record. Albert Productions - AP 10551
AC/DC'S first single, released in Australia on the 22nd of July, 1974.
With Dave Evans on vocals.
In astounding condition.
Un-played!
The spindle hole is well under-size, and will need a good push to clear the spindle hole.
Finding this rare Aussie 45 in anything better than Very Good is a very hard prospect.
The vast majority are well played, and are often trashed.
Finding one with an undersized spindle hole is close to impossible.
The vinyl surfaces are superb.
The labels are Excellent there is a tiny sign of age to the labels, when viewed under direct light, and searching. (it is very faint, and you do need to search under light)
The vinyl is Excellent close to perfect, but a couple of microscopic faint surface marks seen only under direct light, and searching hard
The EMI paper company sleeve is Excellent
- Matrix / Runout (A-side label): 7YAPA1173
- Matrix / Runout (B-side label): 7YAPA1174
There are a couple of basic visual ways to tell the counterfeit from the original.
The key one is the B side run-out matrix is missing.
The counterfeit - The obvious signs are that the labels are shiny, and there is no runout matrix number on the B side (Rockin' In The Parlour)
More subtle signs are that the ink tones of the silver lettering, and the yellow strobe, are less vibrant, the silver looks a more a shiny reflective grey, than the original EMI silver, that has a reflective white hue.
****Potential Bidders Note****
I understand, and respect that buyers have the right to bid in the final seconds of the auction, (the same as what I, and many others do)
I need you to understand that I do reserve and exercise my right to end the listing, and relist if there are no bidders by a specific time of the auction.... for me, that is usually 48 hours.
If I have no bids by the final 48 hours, I will often cancel, and relist items that have no bids prior to the auction ending, though if a bid is received, I will always honor that bid.
I will also always honor the low reserve price, if there is only the one bid.
