THE RAREST PARLIAMENT / FUNKADELIC ALBUM!
This is a very rare 1970 vinyl 1st pressing full album by Parliament. This original LP "Osmium " (ST-7302) is on the Invictus label. This is the only album by either Parliament or Funkadelic to come out on the Invictus label. This is the first album ever for either group, even before the first Funkadelic album. The original inner insert is still intact (check third picture). This early music is a little different than the later stuff, it definatly has a raw energy and power. The music is very funky, but with a psych garage feel as well. Kind of a mix of James Brown, Jimi Hendrix, and frank Zappa with a little Sun Ra added in for that extra something. This record rarely shows up anywhere and especialy not in great shape like this one. The vinyl is in strong VG+ to MINT- condition and plays great. The cover is in VG+ condition with a very small cut-out hole near the bottom left corner. There is a small three eights of an inch tear on the right edge near the bottom. The edges have some wear, but nothing bad. If you check the pictures you will see that the cover is still very nice.
