Description

One of a nice collection of Classical rarities we have just had in, all nice clean originals.

Early 50's 1st type fully laminated curved cut flipback sleeved, red and gold labels and deep grooves to this sublime definitive set of: 

Wagner: Lohengrin Prelude, Act 1; Tannhauser Overture

& Liszt: Les Preludes. All three works electrifying performances, coming alive with a mono cart, no lack of string tone here, compared to most Furtwangler lps.

This is Near Mint to both sides with no surface marks, has clean labels and the sleeve is Near Mint also, one of a reviewers set of 50's opera rarities. A clue to the very low plays of this is the pristine state of the delicate tissue inner, no tears or creases to it, remarkable.

I heard this throughout, and it plays fully near mint on an ortofon mono cart designed for these early lps.
