Description

Here’s an original first U.S. mono deep groove pressing 12” vinyl LP for the classic jazz guitar bebop album by KENNY BURRELL (with Stanley Turrentine, Major Holley Jr., Bill English and Ray Barretto) – Midnight Blue.  Blue Note Records (BLP 4123), recorded on January 8, 1963 and released later that year.

Labels read: Blue Note Records Inc. - New York USA. Van Gelder is (stamped) in runout and 'ear' symbol is present. Plastylite pressing. Back cover reads Blue Note records Inc., 43 West 61st St., New York 23.

Matrix / Runout (Runout A): stamped BNLP 4123-A

Vinyl condition: Excellent (E) vinyl is virtually flawless, bright and shiny. A few very slight scuffs, but no deep scratches visible. The labels are bright, clean and unmarked.

Album Cover condition: Very Good (VG) cover shows minor ring/surface and edge wear and small amount of paper is worn off on upper right corner. Open side corners are a little dinged with minor splits, but no seam splits on top/bottom edges or spine. See photos for details.
