L’ opera, incisa a Milano nel novembre 1933 sotto la regia di Alberto Airoldi nello studio fonografico della Durium, ripresentata su questi due dischi microsolco a 33 giri nel 1960 in tutta la sua originaria freschezza e nella sua intramontabile poesia.
L'orchestra diretta dal M. Luigi Malatesta fu scelta tra i migliori elementi del Teatro alla Scala.
I microfoni raccolsero le voci di: GIULIETTA DE RISO, LUCILLA SEGAL, ANNA TEDESCHI, EMILIA VARINI, AMELIA PIEMONTESE, NELSA SEMENZA, GIANNA TONTA; e di GIANNI BARELLA, ETTORE BERTI, RENZO MORI, ALDO SILVANI, FRANCO BECCI, EDOARDO BORELLI, GOFFREDO MOLINA, ABO RICCIONI, MARIO CARROCCI.
Curarono l'incisione delle cere originali l'ing. W. F. Rennie e A. Centenara.
La competenza e la passione di Luigi Bertini resero possibile l'attuazione delle nuove matrici.

The work, recorded in Milan in November 1933 under the direction of Alberto Airoldi in the Durium phonographic studio, re-presented on these two microgroove discs at 33 rpm in 1960 in all its original freshness and timeless poetry.
The orchestra conducted by M. Luigi Malatesta was chosen among the best elements of the Teatro alla Scala.
