Privately pressed LP showcasing the Bruce Clarke Jingle Workshop with numerous jingles and commercials.
Gatefold sleeve. Inner contains copious technical details of clients and sounds and the advantages of using Bruce's services.
This record has the sub-title: "The Selling Sound Of The Seventies From The Bruce Clarke Jingle Workshop, 420 St.Kilda Road, Melbourne 3004, Australia".
In early 1960’s Melbourne, Bruce Clarke discovered the electronic works of Stockhausen, and was inspired to begin exploring electronic music himself.
Clarke was one of the first Australians to work with early synthesisers, like the Moog. Clarke worked in a "Jingle Workshop", where advertising jingles were written and recorded. A strike by the Australian Musicians Union in the early 1960s led to Clarke creating a completely electronic soundtrack for a cigarette commercial.
Weight: 247g.
Condition: Cover is very good to excellent. Record is very good with some minor scratches & scuffs that do not affect playing.
I am starting to sell my record collection, which has been in safe storage for a couple of decades. My collection is mostly rock, prog rock, punk, New Wave and obscure, so make sure you save me as a seller. Overall, the condition of my records is excellent, no scratches, rarely played and good covers. If a record has any condition issues, I will mention that, and I have a full refund policy if I have missed something. I have experience posting records, I know how to pack vinyl safely, so you will receive your records in good condition.
I am happy to combine purchases - please wait for my combined invoice if you buy more than one record - you will save a considerable amount of postage.
