2 RARE HOLLYWOOD ACETATE RECORDS from "My Blue Heaven" 1950 film w/ Betty Grable, owned by Director Kevin Koster, his name is hand written on the top middle of one sleeve (see photo) and top left corner of the other sleeve, back of second sleeve is torn with half missing. These are 1-sided 12" acetates and play 78 rpm. Acetate 1 (P.B. #8) contains the song "Don't Rock The Boat" sung by Betty Grable with orchestra; Acetate 2 (P.B. #9) contains "Live Hard, Work Hard, Love Hard" sung by Grable-Gerber-(Dan)Dailey. Condition: both acetates have surface marks with a decent shine and play with surface noise throughout, but the songs are very listenable with no skips, label on #1 has adhesive stain, label #2 has tears and chips. ABOUT KEVIN KOSTER: Born 1905 (in Germany) and lived to 1988, in Camarillo, CA. He directed films such as "Harvey" (1950) starring James Steward, and The Robe (1953) starring Richard Burton, and many others, and was producer, and director(?) of the film "Take Her, She's Mine" which we also currently have an acetate up for auction (we believe the "Take Her, She's Mine" acetate was also owned by Koster even though it does not have his hand-written name on it, we purchased all 3 of these acetates together many years ago). Kevin Koster has a WALK OF FAME STAR on Hollywood Blvd (6762 Hollywood Blvd).These are very rare Hollywood movie memorabilia pieces, acetates are only pressed in limited quantities, only a handfull usually, if that.
