2001 A Space Odyssey the original score, by Alex North 2014 MondoCon Release, one time pressing of 2001 copies. This is the randomly inserted 'Beyond the Infinite' variant colorway. Record has never been played, only the plastic has been opened to confirm variant colorway.
2001: A Space Odyssey, the Original Score by Alex North, previously released at MondoCon in Austin, TX. Working with North's estate, we are excited to showcase the original score for 2001 (which was abandoned by director Stanley Kubrick during post-production) on vinyl for the first time ever, in a deluxe package, complete with liner notes by Jon Burlingame. The package, designed by Jay Shaw, features a glossy Monolithic black, tip-on gatefold, with a holographic foil Interior gatefold, housed in a custom clear plastic slip case.

I have been collecting art prints and vinyl for the last 12 years and consider myself a very mindful collector. I treat my prints with care, storing them flat in a non-smoke environment. I would call myself meticulous bordering on anal about storing and handling them (my wife makes fun of me and my giant flat file). Having said that, I also have seen many prints come from artists with slight imperfections, minor dings or paint imperfections, etc. I used to freak out over the smallest thing, but I have learned from years of collecting that things happen. These prints are printed, moved around, signed by the artist, moved around more, stacked, sorted, rolled, transported, etc - so in my opinion there is no "Mint" condition print. I have also bought a small percentage of my prints second hand from another seller, and there generally are defects not listed. It comes with the territory. I will always alert a buyer if there is anything specific damaged or weird about a print, within reason. I have always taken the utmost pride in my collection because I collected, not for flipping or profit. It has come time for me to downsize, as I have 2 kids now and ZERO space, so I will be listing quite a few prints when I have time. Feel free to check out my other listings. If there are specific questions about a print's condition - PLEASE ASK ME FIRST, before buying. I am always happy to provide additional photos or answer questions for someone interested in a specific print, but these questions or requests need to be asked and evaluated before something has been purchased. I will always ship in a sturdy cardboard tube, with tissue paper around the print. I do not offer returns, because I have been burned badly in the past, where I lost a treasured item to a very discourteous buyer.
