King Oliver's Creole Jazz Band - Gennett 5132
Dipper Mouth Blues & Weather Bird Rag
Here are a couple of King Oliver classics on the original Gennett label. The record has some surface marks and a few scratches, but it is not trashed - I would call it about average for it's age and genre. Two defects should be noted: first, there is a rim chip that does not touch the grooves on either side. This will be no problem as long as you are careful when setting down the stylus. And second, there is a small pit on side one that tracks OK on my equipment but might cause a problem with a very light tone arm. I'll grade this copy a 5 on a scale of 10 - again, just about average.
