Here's the MRF recording of the legendary 1959 Naples performance of Cilea's ADRIANA LECOUVREUR, complete on 2 LPs (MRF-47). The outstanding cast includes Magda Olivero as Adriana, Franco Corelli as Maurizio, Giuletta Simionato as La Principessa di Bouillon, and Ettore Bastianini as Michonet. The forces of the Naples opera are lead by Mario Rossi. The date of the performance was November 28, 1959. The set comes with the original 12 page booklet that contains a plot summary, a lengthy essay by Olivero about her history with the opera, and plenty of photos. The records are from my own collection and are in good shape. The set has been in storage for more than 20 years; I haven't had a turntable to play them on in longer than that. This set has become rather hard to find. And if you want a wonderful souvenir of a great performance and you like vinyl....you can't go wrong with this set. Free shipping in U.S.
