Description

This is a genuine ASCAP (American Society of Composers Authors and Publishers) Rhythm & Soul Award for “How Do U Want It” which was ASCAP’s Top Rap Song of 1996.  This award plaque was issued to LBN Publishing, who were one of the companies who owned the publishing rights for the song.  
I’ve added an image from an old edition of ASCAP’s membership magazine which included a section covering the 1997 Awards ceremony and lists the songs honoured including “How Do U Want It”.  Please note: I don’t own the actual magazine, so it is not included as part of this sale.    
This laminated wood award plaque measures 30x33cms.  Overall the award is in good condition.  There are light scratches across the laminated surface and a tiny nick in the laminate towards the bottom of the plaque.  However, it still looks great once it’s hanging on the wall.
A very rare piece of rap music memorabilia.
