THE AMERICAN DANCE BAND DISCOGRAPHY 1917 – 1942:

BRIAN RUST: Arlington House Publishers, New Rochelle, New York.

[copyright 1975 – First Edition].

(Condition: both volumes are in excellent shape, both have original paper dust covers,

which are intact and in good condition with just a bit of ruffling or folding on the edges.)

VOLUME ONE: Irving Aaronson To Arthur Lange (pages 1-1016).

VOLUME TWO:  Arthur Lange To Bob Zurke (pages 1017-2066 / including index)

Record listings of all the white dance bands up to 1942 - obviously 78-rpm listings. The giants, unsung greats, near greats, the deserving and undeserving, the obscure but deserving, the exotic and the off-beat. Unlikely that most collectors will not find the band or orchestra for which they are looking.

(Note: “Negro” bands and orchestras are covered in Rust’s “Jazz Records” volumes.)
