Description

From an online obituary for Charles Dana Beaschler, who passed in 1994:
"Charles Dana Beaschler, 88, former choir director and minister of music at New York Avenue Presbyterian Church, died of cancer March 7 at the Hospice of Northern Virginia.
Mr. Beaschler served at New York Avenue Presbyterian from 1939 to 1951 and organized the church's 160-voice choir and a 35-piece orchestra to accompany its presentations.
He had a regular radio show on station WOL, "This Week in Music," and he directed choral singing on other Washington radio stations.
During World War II Mr. Beaschler made more than 50 recordings of sacred music that were used aboard Navy ships.
He also directed choral concerts at the British, Greek and Soviet embassies and at the National Gallery of Art.
His choirs sang with the National Symphony Orchestra and the Army Air Forces Band."
ULTRA RARE 10" 78 RPMs FROM THIS LOCAL CHURCH MUSIC DIRECTOR FROM THE WASHINGTON DC AREA.  I cannot find any further listings for 78 RPMs or other vinyl recordings by Charles Dana Weaschler.
These are all described similarly:  1) red shellac - I assume they are 78 RPMs - they are thick but I guess its possible they are 33 RPM, 2) while found in a generic album, they appear to be part of a single set as the labels are numbered:  1 & 6 (on one of the shellacs), 2 & 5, and 3 & 4. 3) All have the general title, "Great Music of the Church" and all are produced and distributed by The American Memorial Foundation.
One of the six sides, Side 1, is very scratched and may not be playable.  All the others look playable with some light scratches seen, I'd grade them VG+.
They are:
Side 1:  Jingle Bells, Deck the hall, Favorite Christmas Carols Side 2:  Go Tell It To the Mountains Side 3:  Angels We Have Heard On High Side 4:  Sing We All Noel Side 5:  Joseph Came Seeking a Resting Place Side 6:  O Holy Night, Carol of the Bells
