Description

It's Capitol acetate week here at the beautiful World headquarters of the Ben Dover, Inc. organization.  Happy to offer a a very rare set of three (3) Capitol Records acetates by JUNE CHRISTY, Cool Vocal Jazz from 1960's.  The albums are "Big Band Special" #1845 Stereo 1962,  Two different proofs of "Best Of June Christy," one from 1961 and another from 1962.  These were made one at a time for the A&R Dept. to check out the album before it was OK'd to be released to the public.  aka Proof Reference disc.  These were made directly from the master tapes and played very few times.  They still have the great acetate aroma in the sleeve.  These albums have various EQ settings written on the sleeves that were not always the same as the final settings when finally mastered.  The mastering engineer would write the settings on the sleeve so the listener would know what they were.  Very few copies made, 3 to 6 perhaps.  "Big Band Jazz"  is in very nice VG+(+) condition.  "Best Of" 1961 is in VG+ condition with light sleeve scuffs on the surface....comes with original blank cardboard sleeve.  The other "Best Of" is in VG+(+) condition, with a few light sleeve scuffs.   All labels VG++.  These are heavier than vinyl pressings as there is a metal disc in the middle.  You are bidding on lot of three (3) 12" acetates.  See Scan.
