Description

This lot consists of 3 Beatles LP's

None of these are mint, but hey - it's the BEATLES

Abbey Road - Apple SO-383  The one that sparked the rumor that Paul was dead.  Cover definitely shows some wear. Bottom edge on the verge of opening up from wear but it hasn't happened yet.  Some creasing and record wear are visible.  "Page" written in upper right hand corner.  The vinyl seems to have fared a bit better.  Though not mint what scratching and or scuffing there is is minor and shouldn't affect play at all.  A pretty nice record.

Meet The Beatles - Capitol T 2047  Yes, it's the one with "BEATLES" in brown.  Cover again shows some wear. Corners are worn but the bottom edge is in pretty good shape.  A little creasing and record wear are visible.  The vinyl has many light scratches and scuffs but they appear to be minor enough  to not affect play.  The label shows sign of the person playing the record missing the hole on occasion.  Credits on record label are all ASCAP except I Want To Hold Your Hand, BMI.

Introducing The Beatles - Vee Jay VJLP 1062  Cover again shows some wear. Corners are worn and the bottom edge is split for about three inches on the right side.  The picture is in pretty good shape except at the bottom edge where the ink is worn off.  I hope the picture shows it.  There is an address label in the upper right hand corner which has almost given up adhering due to age.  In another 20 years or so maybe it will fall off on its own.    The vinyl on this one really surprised me.  Its condition is far superior to the cover's condition.  There is light scratching but light and limited.  The label does also have an address label (same as the one on the cover) on it, but this one isn't ready to give up on its own yet.  Inner sleeve is Vee Jay and from the condition fo the record I would assume original.

This was a response to a question about the tail-off area of this record: On side 1 there is 63-3402 4-5702, audio matrix, C-2963 or C-2968 and NR with a circle around it.  My eyes aren't what they used to be but those never were easy to read.  Also there is what looks like a U with a line between the legs of it.
On side 2 there is 63-3403 and in another area 4-5702-X and another NR with a circle around it in between.  There is also what looks like an Sn or Sm in script type letters.  The tail-off area appears to be just a little under an inch.  I used to bowl and my thumb was 15/16 of an inch.  The area is slightly smaller than my thumb.

I decided to add a picture of the back of Introducing The Beatles as I had questions on it. 10/28/05
