We just came across a collection of albums from someone who was related to a gentleman who own WBLJ in Dalton, GA many years ago. The radio station must’ve mainly played classical music, as well as jazz, the blues, swing and other genres from the late 50s to mid-60s. We purchased more than 1,000 albums that are in incredible shape. More than 500 of them are white label radio station promo albums, also known as DJ promos. Most of these albums were pressed in England, Germany, Italy, Australia and other European and Asian nations. We will be listing this incredible collection over the coming weeks.
Be sure to check our store often, as we will be adding tons of albums and other items. If you have any personal album requests and it’s related to classical, chances are, this guy owned it in his personal collection or acquired through his uncle at WBLJ. We will be happy to list it if we have it and will contact you once it has been listed for sale.
We take pictures of the front, inside and back of the box, the labels, sleeves and both albums. Please take a close look at the pictures to get an idea as to the condition and any visible defects of the contents of this set. If there are any defects, such as seam splits, light writing/tape marks, etc. we will provide details in the description below. We always describe the condition of the vinyl in detail since that is something that can't really be done by zooming in on a picture.
For sale is the 3 LP boxed set described in the title and shown in the pictures.
This boxed set is in great condition. The box has only minor wear on the corners and the hinge has no damage. The sleeves are in great condition with no seam splits, writing, or folds. The do show the slightest bit of wear from being taken in and out of the box. I'd estimate the box and sleeves to be very nice VG++ grades.
The book is also in great shape and looks like it's never been perused. I would estimate the book to be a solid NM.
The albums are in fabulous condition and have outstanding original black gloss. There are very few light surface scratches on the three albums with most of them on side five and six. The are extremely light and minor, but we did go ahead and play both sides entirely and they sound incredible. I have to admit, classical music on a great turntable and stereo/speaker system sounds electrifying. I'd estimate the three albums to all be very nice VG++'s with some sides of the vinyl NM.

PLEASE NOTE: NM records are very rare, particularly ones 50 years and older. Industry experts generally agree that no more than 2-4% of albums are truly NM, yet many sellers grade them as such. A NM cannot have any visible defects; such as a smudge, scratch, label crack or worn area around a center hole. We will never grade an album NM if it has clearly visible defects. If an album has one smudge or scratch, we do not grade it NM. We grade 2-3% of our albums NM for this reason. With that said, we always under grade our albums and strive for complete customer satisfaction. Our 100% feedback rating has been earned and we hope to earn yours too. If you are ever dissatisfied with your purchase, we will gladly accept returns per the return guidelines.
