Description
Records were produced as charity release during World War I (specifically around 1915–1916 based on the matrix number sequence) as a fundraising efforts of the German-American community in New York prior to the United States entering the war in 1917.
Labels are virtually unscuffed or scratched. Records themselves are in excellent condition.
"Zum Besten der Kriegsnotleidenden Deutschlands & Oesterreich-Ungarns"
This translates to: "For the benefit of those suffering from the hardships of war in Germany & Austria-Hungary."
Feature male chorus singing doleful songs.
