Description

Excellent condition copy of this extremely rare Mono only 1956 (?) release on the Columbia label (cat no : 33CX 1597) with its original Blue & Gold label design.

Michael Rabin (violin) performs Violin Concertos by Mendelssohn (Concerto in E minor, Op. 64), Ravel (Tzigane) and Saint-Saens (Havanaise, Op. 83) with the Philharmonia Orchestra conducted by Sir Adrian Boult (Mendelssohn and Ravel) and Alceo Galliera (Saint-Saens)

Overall condition is Excellent. The sleeve is near perfect except for a very small (1.5cm) tear around half way up the right hand edge and a little cracking of the laminate a bit further down the right edge. The rear sleeve is nice and clean and still veryy crisp with the foldovers nicely intact. The spine is still intact and unsplit but it is quite rubbed with the loss of some of the wording.

The playing surfaces are visibly in Excellent condition with no visible scratches, scuffs or abrasions. Playback is really excellent with only slight surface noise and no pops, clicks or crackles.

Please note that this record has been play graded with my stereo cartridge (Linn Arkiv) Playback with a dedicated mono cartridge may give different resuts.

All LP's are posted in professional quality mailers with 2 stiffeners for protection. LP's are removed from the outer sleeves in order to prevent damage to the spines. Boxed sets are dispatched in professional, heavy duty cruciform mailers with stiffeners (if necessary - inside and out)
