The Originals Released - 1976 CASABLANCA CANADA released on quality records NBLP7032-3 LIMITED EDITION, on top left gatefold sleeve is printed : limited edtion , all items, records are mint, sleeve is near mint includes the following lps 1. KISS 2. HOTTER THAN HELL 3. DRESSED TO KILL comes with 16 page album size booklet, six wallet size full color kiss rock superstar cards, a double platinum award kiss army card , a kiss army patch and a kiss army special merchandise leaflet/envelope 16-page, album-size booklet written by Richard Robinson, which featured early photos, passes and ads for the band; and a set of six perforated bubblegum cards and a cardboard sheet featuring the members in action on stage, while the reverse offered "vital statistics" for each member, the KISS Army and the band as a whole. This is different from the regular version of the originals which doesn't have the double platinum award and does not have the merchandise leaflet. Only the Canadian release came as a proper gatefold with the band logo printed repetitiously on the inner cover, while in both Japan and the United States used more of a folder-style construction, with the folder restraints differing in size this full Canadian version, released on Quality Records, can be a tough find with complete inserts - note that the difference between the US/Japanese and Canadian version is that the center-rings use multicolor plain paper, rather than Casbah/Filmworks center-rings which other Quality distributed Casablanca releases used. These are commonly seen in red, blue, or yellow for the most part (each record in the set using a different colored center-ring), including Volume 1 uses gold colored paper for the center-ring.
