Description
This auction is for four (4) Edison Diamond Disc 78-rpm records with original sleeves. These records came from my grandfather’s estate and are in amazing condition considering their age. Unfortunately, as you can see in the photos, some ding-dong cut the corners off the sleeves.
CONDITION OF RECORDS:
#50132: Pristine condition and practically looks as if it has never been played.
#50088: Excellent condition and practically looks as if it has never been played. The only issue I can see with this record is a slight defect along the blank space outside of the playing surface. This seems to be cosmetic only and does not affect play back.
#80324: Pristine condition and looks as if it has been played very little. The sleeve does have some small pieces torn from the top edge. (See Photos)
#50051: Excellent condition with one raised spot (3/4” long) and one minor chip (1/2” long) on the blank space outside of the playing surface (The Fairest Rose Waltz.) This seems to be cosmetic only and does not affect play back. One minor chip (1/4” long) on the blank space outside of the playing surface (L’Elegante Polka.) (See Photos) These seem to be cosmetic only and do not affect play back.
I am not a record collector so I wouldn’t know a “rare” or “valuable” record if somebody hit me in the head with it, and I’m certainly not an expert in “grading” them. I will say that you won’t be disappointed. They will be packaged very well and I will ship them anywhere in a USPS Medium Flat Rate box unless you prefer to have them sent via Media Mail. If so, please let me know. Thanks for looking and feel free to ask questions.
