Description

This is a collection of FOUR(4) promotional Christmas sampler albums from Capitol Records spanning 1954-1964.

These discs are extremely rare because only a small quantity(1000 or less) were produced exclusively for radio stations.  Indeed, these discs were NOT commercially available to the public.  Often the station would play it once or twice and then discard it, so very few of these exist today!  Very unusual historic esoteric collectible from the golden age of music!

Here's the list:

1. Capitol PRO 201-202 SPECIAL CHRISTMAS LP for DJs - December, 1954:  A 10" LP featuring tracks by Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Les Paul and many more!  Sorry, NO JACKET.  Record:  Fair(Dirty with lots of scuffs and light scratches.  Label has some bubbling).

2. Capitol PRO 424-425 CHRISTMAS AROUND THE WORLD - December, 1957:  1-LP foldout designed to be a radio program hosted by chorale music legend Fred Waring who introduces new holiday music by Frank Sinatra, Jackie Gleason and many more!  Record:  VG+ Jacket: G(a bit of writing and top seam split).

3. Capitol PRO 727-730  MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM CAPITOL - December, 1959:  2-LP foldout set featuring  tracks by Tenessee Ernie Ford, Frank Sinatra and many more!     Records:  VG  Jacket: VG(some writing and seam splits).

4.  Capitol PRO 21732-2733 MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM CAPITOL - December, 1964:  1-LP featuring Sinatra, Bing Crosby, Nat King Cole, Jackie Gleason, Al Martino and more.  Record:  VG+   Jacket:  VG(solid seams and spine but some cover smudges and slight age discoloration).
