AFTER A MONTH'S BREAK I'M BACK WITH MORE GREAT PROMO ITEMS FROM A COLLECTION ORIGINALLY OWNED BY A DISC JOCKEY WHO WORKED IN RADIO IN WEST VIRGINIA AND GEORGIA DURING THE MID 1960s, THEN WENT TO WORK AT WOR-FM AND WABC-FM IN NEW YORK CITY DURING THE LATER 1960s - KEEP WATCHING MY AUCTIONS FOR MORE TOP QUALITY ROCK ITEMS!
This is a lot consisting of FOUR U.S. COLUMBIA RECORDS PROMO 45s - THREE ON RED VINYL - DATING FROM 1962 through 1965 from the legendary and ageless popular vocalist Tony Bennett.
PLEASE NOTE: THE WHITE STREAKS SEEN IN MY IMAGE ON THE LABEL OF THE 'GOOD LIFE' 45 AND ON THE 'I LEFT MY HEART IN SAN FRANCISCO' PICTURE SLEEVE ARE NOT WORN AREAS, THEY ARE REFLECTIONS OF LIGHT WHICH OCCURRED IN THE PHOTO - THOSE ACTUAL AREAS ON THE 'GOOD LIFE' LABEL AND THE 'SAN FRANCISCO' PICTURE SLEEVE ARE PERFECTLY INTACT.
Details are as follows:
1) I LEFT MY HEART IN SAN FRANCISCO / ONCE UPON A TIME - BLACK VINYL STYRENE PRESSING IN PICTURE SLEEVE WITH PROMO STICKERS ON RECORD AND SLEEVE - Columbia 4-42332 - 1962 - Visual condition of play surface is a SOLID NM with no visible surface marks; record does have a small chip at its extreme outer edge on the A-side which does not come close to the area containing music and has absolutely no effect on play. Labels have no real flaws. Record comes packaged in its original picture sleeve which is in VG+ condition with a few slight wrinkles, some ring and contact wear, and some wear along the top edge.
3) WHO CAN I TURN TO (WHEN NOBODY NEEDS ME) - 2-SIDED RED VINYL WHITE LABEL PROMO - Columbia 4-43141 - 1964 - Condition of record is a SOLID NM with no visible surface marks. Labels have a tiny bit of contact wear, no other flaws worth mentioning. Record comes packaged in its original custom promo sleeve. Condition of promo sleeve is VG+ with some writing in blue ballpoint and a rubber stamp with the name and address of a previous owner on its front, a few wrinkles, some ring and contact wear, and some wear along the edges, mainly the top edge. Promo sleeve has no water damage, splits, tears, or stickers.
4) IF I RULED THE WORLD / WHO CAN I TURN TO (WHEN NOBODY NEEDS ME) - RED VINYL WHITE LABEL PROMO - Columbia 4-43220 - 1965 - Condition of record is a SOLID NM with no visible surface marks. Labels have no real flaws. Record comes packaged in its original custom promo sleeve. Condition of promo sleeve is VG+ with a few wrinkles, some ring and contact wear, and some wear along the edges, mainly the top edge. Promo sleeve has no water damage, splits, tears, writing, or stickers.
