Description
The first time i heard this acetate i was immediately convinced it was Nirvana , it has the same breathy falsetto that Patrick Campbell-Lyons employed, a similar soft psych / pop melodic flair, and that gentle, lushly romantic lyrical feel. Only problem was that none of these four songs on this acetate, the slow- burning " Girl Of My Dreams " the great eerie Psychadelic pop effort " Breakaway " the lovely key-boards based " Don't Leave Me " and possibly the most Nirvanaesque performance of all " Hey Lois " were ever issued by Nirvana, and all four songs are just too good to have been discarded by any signed band, so while there is still an outside chance that these recordings were by Nirvana circa the Simon Simopath album, i guess it's more likely that they were cut by some semi pro band who were big fans of the Nirvana sound.
